Student life at the EPHE

The Office of Student Affairs (“Bureau de la Vie Etudiante") at the EPHE welcomes and guides you during your studies. The OSA orients students and provides information on education, social and cultural activities, and associations.
It also serves as an interface between you and the EPHE: the OSA is your first contact, especially on questions regarding scholarships and financial aid, housing, residence permits and transportation.
The newsletter Bulletin de la Vie Etudiante is distributed by email and posted in the Student Guide section to provide latest news on student life. It contains current information on lectures and courses, interviews with EPHE faculty, announcements by clubs and associations, and partnership offers. You may participate in this newsletter by contributing articles, advertisements, photographs and artwork. You can also join the editorial team via the Office of Student Affairs.
While studying at the EPHE, do you want to organize a conference of young Byzantinist researchers, contribute to the renovation of a school in Africa or create an early music club? The Fonds de Solidarité et de Développement des Initiatives Etudiantes (FSDIE) is a fund to support you and help subsidize your student projects. For more information on how to apply, see the "Student Projects" topic on this website or contact the Office of Student Affairs.
