France
- France Contact : http://www.francecontact.net. This site is dedicated to foreign guest researchers. Its purpose is to facilitate preparations for their scientific stay and to guide them in organizing their living once in France. France Contact offers a personalized wepages and portals to users who join the network regardless of occupation and origin. It helps organize one’s scientific stay in France and enables repatriated researchers to continue being associated with French cooperation and development initiatives in scientific or technology areas.
- Scientific employment in France: www.emploi-scientifique.info. This job board site is maintained by the Bernard Gregory Association. It provides a useful library, and includes a list of French learned societies and specialized portals.
- The Alfred Kastler National Foundation: http://www.fnak.fr/. The FnaK is dedicated to facilitating arrangements for guest post-doctoral researchers invited to France and to maintaining contact with them on their return. It is a component of the Cité internationale universitaire de Paris (CIUP). It is based in Strasbourg from where it covers all of France. Its work is aimed at improving mobility and facilitating access to learning and cultural rapprochement, in order to foster international cooperation in accordance with Alfred Kastler’s humanistic vision. It serves as a French bridgehead within the European network of mobility centers.
- The Bernard Gregory Association: www.intelliagence.fr. The BGA contributes to reinforcing ties between academia and employers by helping young holders of doctorates to develop their career and mobility in private and public sector enterprises. Initially specialized in « hard science » disciplines, the BGA plans to extend its activities in the human and social sciences. It serves as a French bridgehead within the European network of mobility centers and has a portal "Scientific employment in France".
- The Conference of University Presidents: www.cpu.fr. The Conference, which acts in the common interest of the university system in France, is also active in the area of international relations. Its agenda includes implementing agreements providing for mutual recognition of academic qualifications, as well as developing greater visibilty within Europe for research and teaching at French universities. It serves as a French bridgehead within the European network of mobility centers.

ANDèS is the French doctoral association: www.andes.asso.fr. It groups doctors in all disciplines of academia, regardless of age and employment status, whether in France or abroad.
Paris & Ile-de-France area
- The Reception Office for Foreign Researchers, or Bureau d'accueil des chercheurs étrangers (BACE). The BACE located at the Cité universitaire internationale de Paris (CIUP, http://www.ciup.fr) is a designated "ERA-MORE mobility center". Under the sponsorship of the Alfred Kastler Foundation, the BACE assists foreign researchers and their dependents in planning their stay in the Ile-de-France area, by providing them with specific information and preparing their stay before arrival, and by facilitating the obtention of any official documents required for entry into France.

- Centre de liaison européenne et internationale de sécurité sociale (CLEISS) www.cleiss.fr.
The CLEISS provides a one stop service for international mobility and social security. It acts as a liaison between French and foreign social security institutions to organize ongoing coverage and entitlements during relocations, in application of EU regulations and bilateral and multilateral agreements, all risks and all coverage systems included.
