International development at the EPHE

The EPHE has based its international development policy on its characteristics:
- higher education at the master’s, doctoral, and postdoctoral levels, with a high ratio of tutors to students
- highly specialized research fields
- scope and structure of activities favoring interdisciplinarity.
Providing financial aid for international mobility, and setting up arrangements to receive for foreign students and guest research fellows, are an institutional priority under the current quadrennial contract (2010-2013).
Priority regions for cooperation are the Mediterranean basin and Asia-Pacific, together with Europe. Cooperation with the Middle East and Central Asia is also being strengthened, as are institutional relations with the Americas.
